This was, by far, my least favorite book I read in tenth grade. What I disliked about it so much was how my instructor gushed about this book, but really it was quite awful. As I read the book I thought I would be more sympathetic to the characters, nope. Not a bit. The problem, and tendency, with a lot of feminist literature is how they try to write about the treatment of women, and allowing women to have a say in things, but failing miserably at the execution.
