Gayle did it again! I shouldn't be surprised at this point, since the last book was as heartbreaking as this book was. First off all, I really liked that this book was from Adam's POV. It gave us a lot of insight as to how he was feeling during the last book, and how he is feeling in this book. He broke my heart with what was happening to him, and the end was pitch perfect. I still adore the music surrounding this entire novel (and mentioning The New Pornographers I couldn't help but squeal since I like them quite a lot). Anyways, the story unfolded nicely and the pacing was never dull for a second. I really like the amount of depth there is in this book with all the characters are extremely well rounded. I am a bit envious really since Gayle Forman makes it look so easy to write a book like this, but it is not. I think in a lot of ways Gayle Forman has surpassed my love for Sarah Dessen because I love her characters so much and there is so much depth to them. Wow. Unbelievable duology of books, and I can't wait to read another book by Ms. Foreman. Truly, she is stupendous there is nothing else to say.
