This book started off slow, but picked up by the very end. I would give it four to five stars, but the fact remains that it did not hold my interest at every page like the first book did. I loved Vin's development in this book, as well as Elend Venture but seeing as it took me close to five months to finish this book I'll have to give it a three. The plotting was a bit slower than the first book, and my guess is that second books in the trilogy tend to not be the strongest part because it acts as a bridge. However, I do like this book I just wished it didn't take me close to five months to finish.
